Welcome to College of Applied Science Kattappana

The College of  Applied Sciences, Kattappana  was established  in the year 2001.   The institution is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University and is  managed by the (of) Institute for Human Resources Development, Thiruvananthapuram, a Government of Kerala undertaking popularly known as the IHRD in the Kerala higher education Sector.   The College has  involved in quality manpower development and training in the thrust areas of Information Technology,  Electronics,  (Hardware sector) and emerging disciplines for the students of Idukki District.

The college had a modest beginning with two undergraduate programmes in Electronics and Computer Science.  All through these years,  the college has strived to maintain competitive standards on curricular and extracurricular fronts.  Today the institution has blossomed into a college with one  full-time regular course  viz. Post Graduate Department  Computer Science with regular courses B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Electronics
